Outline for a Good Body Paragraph:

It's a Sandwich!

A good paragraph is like a sandwich. It needs bread to hold it all together (the topic and concluding sentence, just as much as it needs good stuff on the inside to make it worth eating (lettuce, tomatoes, meat, cheeses, etc.). A good paragraph, then, will have at least 10 sentences if constructed for the optimum effect.

Bun Topic Sentence (what is the paragraph about? What is its relation to the thesis?)

Example # 1 (Include 2 sentences to explain example)

Include 2-3 comments about the example

Example # 2 (Include 2 sentences to explain example)

Include 2-3 comments about the example

Example # 3 (Include 2 sentences to explain example)

Include 2-3 comments about the example

Bun Concluding Sentence (Sum up paragraph. It should sound similar yet different from Topic sentence and may contain a transition into the next body paragraph.)
