Outside Reading In-Class Critical Essay Test

You will have one hour to write a critical essay. I have amassed a huge critical lens bank that covers the following themes:

Consider what theme/s works best with your novel. You are permitted to create a “cheat index card” to bring with you to the test. You must hand write the card. You may use both sides. Look for appropriate quotes and literary analysis (characterization, theme, setting, POV, symbolism, etc.) and write them out! This will make your essay STRONGER! Remember, this is not a plot summary but a literary analysis.
