Short Story Educational “Movie” Poster

SITUATION: You’re pitching a script to a Hollywood movie producer based on the short story, ___________________. You’ve created the script and now you want to sell the film…You arrive to your pitch meeting with your script, a film clip, and an informative and exciting poster.

YOUR GOAL: Create a poster that hooks the viewer into wanting to read your story. Teach the viewer the basics of the story. Your poster should excite the viewer, present the core theme/s, hook the viewer with the conflict, and be neat and exciting.

Include:

• Title of story and author (based on the short story by…)
• Tag Line (Basic conflict set up)
• Image/s to attract viewer that help illustrate an aspect of the story: pull your audience in graphically!
• Significant characters w/ basic characterization (this may be achieving by typecasting)
• At least ONE quote/passage that illustrates author’s message/theme
• Group member names & section number
