My Palette Has Eyes: The Food Critic (100 points)
YOUR TASK: Write a review about the meal you took notes on. Use vivid adjectives and phrases to describe your dining experience. The only requirement is that you follow the guidelines provided, and most of all, let us, your Schreiber audience taste your meal, good or bad!
GUIDELINES
·
Thesis: Your
thesis is your position. It may be cumulative, meaning, it builds as you
describe the experience or it is stated early on. Rave, pan, or mixed. This is your opinion.
·
Sensory Imagery:
Rely on the senses to paint the picture.
Evaluate clearly using your senses. Use all five senses in your
descriptions (see, hear, smell, touch, taste)
·
Organization:
Almost all reviews are structured chronologically, mimicking as best as possible
the experience arriving, ordering, eating, paying, and decide on future
returns. The description of the food should take up most of your word count.
·
Notables. Reviews may highlight any unusual aspects of
the place, the chef, or history. Anything unusual on the menu? Any history to explain?
