Reporter’s Notes #1

When Brittany Hilton, building custodian, opened Principal Jay Lewis’ office in high school yesterday morning, he found papers scattered over the floor and desk drawers opened.  Mr. Lewis reported that $210 in cash from the ticket sales to the school play was missing from his desk.  Nothing else seemed to be missing.  Glass in an office window was broken, and Mr. Lewis said the burglar must have entered through a window.

English teacher Rosie Muffet fired. Port high school, Schreiber.

“The state of morals today is disgusting,” the principal stated. Frank Barrish.

Fired because of discussing her pregnancy. Unmarried.

Parents are picketing. Pro and con. “A teacher should be a role model,” mother Terese Hotpuff said. “A teacher is entitled to a private life,” said mother Josie Scoobydoo.

“I think Miss Muffet is cool,” sophomore girl, Julie Moolie, said.

History of being liberal school.

 

Reporter’s Notes #4

Pug dog, Nathan, followed junior Aaron Flemming to school.

Chewed through leash, fence. Four miles to school.

“He started scratching on windows during Latin,” classmate Nora Roberts said.

Had to stay with Flemming all day. No license, no one to pick up dog.

“I take the bus to school,” Flemming said.

American Idol has new show, Teen American Idol.

Simon and Paula and Randy touring high school venues.

Auditions at Schreiber next week.

Contestants already camped out.

“I want to be famous,” said senior Liza Gueli. Has been singing for 15 years.
