Clipfile Project: Solving Problems
Newspapers give us a daily record of problems that need to be solved. The problems may be old or new, serious or of little significance. Reading the newspaper, however, is critical to understanding the problems that face our society.
Examine any newspaper over the course of the next four days. Make sure you read the editorials and letters to the editor as well as read the news stories. Selects a problem or problems of interest to you personally and clip out any pertinent information. You may use the Internet to aid you as well. Keep all clippings in a folder and for each problem you are following, create a sheet that identifies the problem, offers solutions, and lists pros and cons of the solution you envision.
