Preliminary Research

Please make sure you know what you want to pursue this semester. It becomes very difficult to switch topics the deeper we get into our projects.

Today’s assignment and tonight’s homework is to think and surf. Refer to your journal entries, clipfile, and surf the Internet. Once you have decided on a topic, look for specifics within that topic. For instance, if you are interested in issues regarding immigration, maybe you want to focus on immigrants and education. Go for a specific. It will make the topic much more manageable.

The next phase is to use your ideas for putting together your proposal.
